Chapter 4

Quote: 
"Just one week before, he corps at the end of the line had been alive. Sergeant Jesse Pasadoble had been waiting for a flight up to the compound at Doug Ha. From there he would be going on to some godforsaken outpost near the Laotian border. He had three or four days to kill before the chopper lifted from the tarmac. A close friend of his, a staff sergeant, had chosen him for a special assignment and had talked him into coming along."

Explanation:
Jesse would always be having some nightmares, and this was one of the two men that he meet on his way to Doug Ha. Hong was the sergeant that invited over on the trip. Ever since the trip to Doug ha everything has been different to Jesse, he has theses nightmares and he also get memories by looking at Bernard.

Questions:

  • When Jesse sees the guy laying down in the middle of the field looking up to the sky, in Jesse nightmares who is he suppose to be?
  • While Jesse walks thought the line of dead people on the floor why does he seemed confused about it?

Chapter 3

Quote: 
"Dr. Wooden placed a firm hand on Jesse's shoulder. The lawyer understood the gesture. Once again, a sudden slice of the nightmares that haunted his nights had lit up his mind like a flare. There had been this hill, a small hill near the Laotian border. He leaned back and closed his eyes for a moment to compose himself. The holographic image that had invaded his thoughts slowly dissipated."

Explanation:
When Bernard enter the room with Jesse , Jesse started thinking of his nightmares because when he was Bernard his Tattoos and his face. During his conversation with Bernard, Jesse starts to go back in to his "time travel" and thinks about his nightmares which Bernard help him come to.


  • When Jesse goes into his nightmares, are these his time travel he goes too as well?
  • Does Bernard's "Time Travel" keep him in that state of mind which doesn't let him realize the real world?

Chapter 2.

Quote: "Jesse Pasadoble breath deeply. What happened ned had appeared and reappeared in his minor nightmares. He leaned back in his chair and began again..... This case was some sort of weird landmark, a milestone of the absurd."

Explanation: This quote is significance because when Jesse holds back on what he is telling everyone else, he starts to space off on what his nightmares where about and he started to have some sort of flash backs relating with the case he is speaking of.

Questions:

  • What might of made Jesse thought about that might of stopped him from going on with his case?
  • While Jesse talk about this particulare case, what came to your mind about the victim always having his finger prints in the same place?
